'Break-Neck Steps 63' found on a small label on the back. Also on the pink back the photographers stamp 'Canadian Scenery by L.P.Vallee….No.10 St john Street Quebec.' Vallee was active from 1865-1880. (see Darrah pg 170 for further info) Note the ghostly figure part way up the stairs and the two figures on the bottom left of right hand image which are not present on the other side. Some age damage.

'No.8 Upper Town Market Place, on a market day' on a small label on the green back, also the photographers stamp 'Canadian Scenery by L.P.Vallee….No.10 St john Street Quebec.' This is one of L.P.Vallee's early stereo photographs c.1865 (in1867 Vallee took 'Champlain Market, Quebec' see page 170 of Darrah). Some marks on this card.
