'Marines Instantanees' A tissue card of a sailing boat into harbour. Day transforms into moonlight with excellent lighting effect. There is some damage to this card which extends to the back and causes unwanted lighting on the right hand image.

A pair of cards of a French battleship.1878 a) an unusual view of the gun deck with a sailor resting on the ropes and others further down the deck. Excellent stereo effect and an interesting image. b) shows the exterior of the ship with a row boat along side and in teh foreground a chain and pulley. Views well. Both cards have printed on the back 'L.&F.Photographers, Paris' and 'Exposition Universelle de 1878'Some spotting and marks.
